 Six Month Smiles Adult Braces

Six Month Smiles is an innovative brace system for teeth, combining proven orthodontic techniques and modern materials, that work to straighten your teeth to achieve your perfect smile in 6 months*. 

Six Month Smiles teeth braces use clear plastic brackets and tooth coloured wires to gently straighten your teeth into position, taking between 4 and 9 months to complete (average treatment time 6 months). 

This means you can acheive a fantastic smile, with straight teeth in the time between your regular hygieist visits!

Traditional teeth braces use metal brackets stuck to the teeth and heavy metal wires for about 2-3 years to move teeth. Six Month Smiles cosmetic teeth braces are much more discreet and are very difficult to see in social situations - most people won't be able to tell your wearing teeth braces. 

The Six Month Smile teeth braces are not as invisible as some teeth brace systems, but the discreet bracket and wire system does allow the dentist more control to gently straighten teeth into the ideal position. It also works faster than most invisible teeth brace systems.

How do Six Month Smile teeth braces work? 

The Six Month Smiles system uses a special, tooth coloured nickle-titanium wire which gently moves the teeth into position and, because it is not trying to alter the way your teeth bite, it focuses on moving the teeth which form the smile. This leads to much shorter treatment times than traditional teeth braces.

Clear Aligners

Clear orthodontic aligners can be used to straighten many types of crooked teeth. Commonly named brands that we use at HRS Dentalcare include Invisalign, Clearstep and Clear Aligner. Each system is slightly different, and being able to use all three systems allows us to find the system that best suits you.

For each system, whether it is Invisalign, Clearstep or Clear Aligner, a series of removable, virtually invisible braces are constructed to gently nudge your teeth into the correct position. Each aligner is used for a couple of weeks before being discarded and the next aligner in the series used. 

In most cases the treatment is completed in less than 10 months, though the quickest case we hvae treated at HRS Dentalcare was finished in 4 weeks.

Inman Aligner

Another modern replacement to traditional “train-track” braces is the Inman Aligner which straightens your teeth in as little as six weeks!

The Inman Aligner brace is unique, discrete and removable which is ideal for straightening upper and lower front teeth which may be crowded, crooked, rotated or tilted, on average taking an impressively rapid 2 to 3 months to complete. Patients then wear a retainer to keep the desired finished position.

The Inman Aligner brace can be an ideal alternative to unsightly fixed ‘train-track‘ braces and will often produce fantastic cosmetic results more quickly, while patients pay a lower fee, compared to traditional fixed ‘train-track‘ braces.

Here at HRS Dentalcare we offer free home teeth whitening to all our patients once they’ve completed their tooth straightening. We have found that whitening is a fantastic complement to your new straighter teeth.

The discrete clear acrylic at the front of the teeth (see diagram above), combined with springs concealed behind the teeth, gently squeeze your teeth into the correct position as can be seen in the diagram. Total treatment can take from 6-16 weeks, which means you could have a beautifully straight, more confident smile in four months at the very most – significantly less than any other orthodontic treatment. During treatment you will normally need to come and see us for a check up every couple of to make sure that the teeth are moving properly.

The Inman Aligner brace is similar to a sports mouth guard, but is thinner and transparent, which means it is almost invisible to other people. The clear design of the Inman Aligner brace means that if you are self conscious about your teeth it is extremely discreet.

The Inman Aligner brace can be removed, which allows patients freedom to eat as they please and to maintain excellent oral hygiene by cleaning your teeth as normal, without the need for fiddly brushing between wires as would be the case with conventional fixed braces. It is recommended that you wear the aligner for at least 16-20 hours a day to ensure the quickest results.
